kurza łapka is a modern cottage designed to delight the eye, while above all offering comfort and a close connection with nature.
the view alone is breathtaking, as the house seems to float gently above the ground, perched on a high foundation, almost suspended between the forest and the mountains. the exterior charms with its natural, original wooden façade, while inside, a harmonious blend of stone, wood and contemporary touches creates a warm yet stylish interior.
the cottage has everything you need to truly unwind:
two spacious, scenic bedrooms on the first floor, with huge windows letting the morning sun stream straight onto the beds,
a welcoming living room with dining area and kitchenette – an open space perfect for cooking together, playing board games, or simply enjoying time with loved ones,
a large bathroom with natural finishes and a soothing home spa atmosphere,
a cosy terrace, ideal for lazy breakfasts or an evening glass of wine with views over the beskid range.
outside, a private firepit and a green lawn invite you to relax, while panoramic views of the mountains stretch out before the house. behind the cottage, a forest full of winding paths, birdsong and the scent of spruce awaits. just a few steps away, you’ll find yourself in a completely different world – quiet, wild and peaceful.
kurza łapka is more than a beautiful holiday retreat – it also embodies values. we care for the environment: sorting our waste, supporting local suppliers, and using eco-friendly products. we don’t serve meals yet, but your arrival will be sweetened with a homemade cake!

if you are looking for a place where time passes more slowly and the sounds of nature replace the hustle and bustle of the city, kurza łapka in Stryszawa is waiting just for you. located in a picturesque village in the heart of Beskid Makowski, just 1.5 hours drive from Krakow, it offers much more than just accommodation, a space to truly relax, immerse yourself in nature and learn about local traditions. imagine this: all around are forest paths perfect for morning strolls with coffee in hand, biking trips and mushroom picking. in autumn, the meadows are fragrant with fallen leaves, and in summer with flowers and sunshine.
if you feel like moving, the hiking trails will take you to the nearby peaks: Jałowiec, Magurka or Lachowicki Groń. these are ideal routes for family walks or solitary wanderings to the rhythm of your own steps, alone with your thoughts.
For lovers of local history and art, Stryszawa is a real gem. for generations it has been known for its handmade wooden toys. it is here that tradition meets fun, and this is most beautifully seen in:
Beskidzkie Centrum Zabawki Drewnianej where you will see how painted birds, horses, carousels and other fairy tale trinkets are made. an attraction not only for the youngest!
family workshops, where you can decorate your own toy and take it away as a souvenir,
regional expositions showing the history of local crafts and Beskid folklore.
and if you want to move a little further, within a radius of 20 km there are many interesting places waiting for you:
Lachowice with its listed wooden church and idyllic atmosphere,
Sucha Beskidzka with its climatic market square and “Little Wawel” castle, not at all inferior to the one in Cracow,
Mucharskie Lake perfect for a lazy afternoon by the water,
Wadowice with its traditional cream pastries and the John Paul II museum,
Zawoja and Babia Góra for those who love mountains and are looking for bigger challenges
